As per the section 234 of the Bangladesh Labour Act, 2006, Establishment of Workers Profit Participation Fund and Welfare fund - every company is to pay, within 9 (nine) months of the close of every year 5% of profit before tax and transfer to respective "Participatory Fund", "Welfare Fund" and "Workers Welfare Foundation fund" established under section 14 at the ratio of 80:10:10.
