(Continuation news of BATBC): Note 42.1 Litigation: The Company has various claims and legal actions arising in the ordinary course of business. In particular, in November 2013, the Company received a retrospective notice of imposition and realization of VAT and Supplementary Duty on low price category brands (Pilot & Bristol) from the National Board of Revenue (NBR) alleging to have evaded tax by selling in the low price segments rather than the mid-tier segments.
