BATBC Corporate Disclosure — 27 February 2022

(Continuation news of BATBC): further challenged the legality of a 2018 Special Order of NBR. BATB was initially not party to the writ petition, subsequently it became a party through an addition of party application. Upon hearing on multiple occasions, the High Court (HC) passed the judgment in the matter on 21st September 2020. Through its judgment, the HC did not find any merit in the argument of the competitor in relation to discriminatory rates and therefore discharged the Rule. (cont.7)

(বিএটিবিসির ধারাবাহিক সংবাদ): এনবিআরের 2018 সালের বিশেষ আদেশের বৈধতাকে আরও চ্যালেঞ্জ করেছে। বিএটিবি প্রাথমিকভাবে রিট পিটিশনের পক্ষ ছিল না, পরে দলীয় আবেদনের সংযোজনের মাধ্যমে এটি একটি পক্ষ হয়ে যায়। একাধিকবার শুনানির পর, হাইকোর্ট (HC) 21শে সেপ্টেম্বর 2020-এ এই বিষয়ে রায় দেয়। তার রায়ের মাধ্যমে, হাইকোর্ট বৈষম্যমূলক হারের বিষয়ে প্রতিযোগীর যুক্তিতে কোন যোগ্যতা খুঁজে পায়নি এবং তাই বিধিটি বাতিল করেছে .
