CONFIDCEM Corporate Disclosure — 1 February 2024

The Company has informed that the Board of Directors has decided to halt production activities of Ready-mix Concrete (RMC) Plant (24,00,000 CFT capacity per annum) located at Sea-Beach Road, South Patenga, Chattogram, due to disruption in raw materials import for crisis of foreign currency (dollar), prevailing stagnation in domestic infrastructure development and newly imposed of VAT on Ready-mix business has led to price hikes and shrinking demand significantly.

কোম্পানী জানিয়েছে যে পরিচালনা পর্ষদ রেডি-মিক্স কংক্রিট (আরএমসি) প্ল্যান্টের (বার্ষিক 24,00,000 সিএফটি ক্ষমতা) সি-বিচ রোড, সাউথ পতেঙ্গা, চট্টগ্রামে অবস্থিত উত্পাদন কার্যক্রম বন্ধ করার সিদ্ধান্ত নিয়েছে, কাঁচামালের ব্যাঘাতের কারণে। বৈদেশিক মুদ্রার (ডলার) সংকটের জন্য উপকরণ আমদানি, অভ্যন্তরীণ অবকাঠামো উন্নয়নে বিরাজমান স্থবিরতা এবং রেডি-মিক্স ব্যবসার উপর নতুন করে ভ্যাট আরোপ করা মূল্য বৃদ্ধি এবং চাহিদাকে উল্লেখযোগ্যভাবে সঙ্কুচিত করেছে।
