(Continuation news of EASTERNINS): ii. The company has provided provision a sum of Taka 1,250,000.00 for employees' gratuity on lump sum basis instead of calculating individual employees' gratuity amount. Additionally, no actuarial valuation of gratuity liability was undertaken resulting in a possible understatement of actual liability. As a result of the above, actual liability on account of employees' gratuity liability could not be confirmed as at 31st December 2016. (end)
