The closing balance of "Marketable investment" is reported at Tk. 830,971,862 whereas the cost of the investment is Taka 909,123,813 which constitutes a difference of Taka 78,151,952. Due to the nature of the investment (Held for trading), the differential amount is to be recognized through profit and loss account. However, the management of the fund has recognized the differential amount through retained (cont.2)
