(Cont. news of KPCL): value of age old KPCL 110MW barge mounted plant. Foreign currency loss for importation of fuel (HFO) due to huge devaluation of BDT against USD and lower capacity utilization of the power plants also contributed to the net loss. During the period under report, NOCFPS decreased mainly due to delay in making payment by Bangladesh Power Development Board (BPDB) against sales. Cash purchase of HFO from Bangladesh Petroleum Corporation (BPC) also contributed to the negative NOCFPS. (end)
