SUMITPOWER Corporate Disclosure — 23 March 2025

(Continuation news of SUMITPOWER): 1. Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) of one power plant was not renewed after expiry; 2. Another plant was operated only for partial period as no demand was given by the National Load Dispatch Centre (NLDC); 3. Three more power plants after PPA renewal were run on the "No Electricity, No Payment" basis without any capacity payment; and 4. Income tax expense was higher in the current period as more plants came under tax bracket after expiry of initial PPAS. (end)

(সামিটপাওয়ারের ধারাবাহিক সংবাদ): ১. একটি বিদ্যুৎ কেন্দ্রের বিদ্যুৎ ক্রয় চুক্তি (পিপিএ) মেয়াদ শেষ হওয়ার পরেও নবায়ন করা হয়নি; ২. জাতীয় লোড ডিসপ্যাচ সেন্টার (এনএলডিসি) কর্তৃক কোনও চাহিদা না দেওয়ায় আরেকটি বিদ্যুৎ কেন্দ্র কেবল আংশিক সময়ের জন্য পরিচালিত হয়েছিল; ৩. পিপিএ নবায়নের পরে আরও তিনটি বিদ্যুৎ কেন্দ্র "বিদ্যুৎ নেই, অর্থ প্রদান নেই" ভিত্তিতে কোনও ক্ষমতা প্রদান ছাড়াই পরিচালিত হয়েছিল; এবং ৪. বর্তমান সময়ে আয়কর ব্যয় বেশি ছিল কারণ প্রাথমিক পিপিএএস মেয়াদ শেষ হওয়ার পরে আরও বেশি বিদ্যুৎ কেন্দ্র কর বন্ধনীর আওতায় এসেছিল। (শেষ)
