(cont. news of TITASGAS): As a transmission and distribution company, Titas Gas utilized this provision and claimed a refund for excess tax deducted at source over its actual tax liability. However, this year, the Finance Act 2024, Section 54 abolished Section 163(3) (Ka). As a result, tax deducted at source will now be treated as the minimum tax if the actual tax liability is lower than the tax deducted at source. (Cont.3)
